#Sales shouldn’t be thought of as trying to “sell” anyone anything. We are either helping people achieve their goals or solve their problems.
That’s the mentality we need to have. https://t.co/mqrPSglCsR
How much of your time selling on a daily basis is done via the phone? Are you hiding behind email too much? Honestly, you need to really ask yourself these hard questions if you're in #sales. Hold yourself accountable to picking up the phone. Hopefully, this helps. #MakeItHappen
I've trained thousands of salespeople and almost 90% of them fail when it comes to cold calling for one simple reason. Their introductions are WEAK.
Most of the time, a simple tweak to your opening statement can be the difference between you winning and losing a #sales call.
Focus more on the customer — and you'll start selling more.
Why?
Because you’re focused on a great (customer) outcome rather than the sale as the only outcome.
You want the customer to walk away happy and satisfied, whether they buy or not. #GrowthIQ#Sales#CX#CustServ
Sell the problem you solve; not the product.
Be the person who customers feel is genuinely passionate about helping them move the needle on the metrics they use to measure success.

People don’t buy from salespeople; people buy from people.
The best people in #Sales:
• Ask questions to genuinely learn (vs to qualify)
• Listen to genuinely understand (vs waiting to speak)
• Solve problems to genuinely help (vs achieve a quota)

Somebody told me once that the worst sin in #sales is not to lose a deal, it's to take a long time to lose a deal.
So we need to figure out how we can get a YES or a NO as quickly as possible so we don't waste our time.
The question is, how do we do this?
The dreaded "GONE DARK" scenario in sales...
What do you do to get a response?
This is the most simple strategy I've found that works.
I was 30 for 35 in getting a response when using this strategy.
Give it a try and #MakeItHappen!

👉🏼How you sell matters.
👉🏼What your process is matters.
🙌 But how your customers feel when they engage with you matters more.

Explain to me...?
Could you clarify...?
How about an example of...?
These are layering questions and they allow us to dig deeper. Often times the answer we get isn't the entire answer we need.
Use layering questions to dig deep, and uncover more information.
You can use this tip throughout the sales cycle - don't just pitch pitch pitch, use your time with your prospects or customers to share stories.
It's much more personal and effective
