@henningsanden Agreed, drilling and doing are best. Planar heads are useful as a ramp-up in complexity when learning to draw/paint light, to understand how it describes form.

This doesn't translate to understanding the form in the way you need to while sculpting.

@AlexWisnerArt @timsoret The problem is Tim is a tech bro. He's made a career out of a concept trailer and building some tools within unity for the last 7+ years.

No one can convince me there's even a game in there until he tweets something besides the same exact gifs from his original 2018 trailer.

And you’ll still have access to the software they currently sell if they do change. I’m not a fan of the Canva acquisition, I don’t like Canva. But the pledge at least holds them accountable for a bit.

@alexxgrigg @arvalis Absolutely. I remember a few classmates who never really got over it though, or learned how to respond without justifying every decision critiqued, and their work never improved as much as those who took the feedback more thoughtfully.

@alexxgrigg @arvalis It’s very hard to imitate the progression of a student having to get used to group critiques(both helpful and unhelpful!) in class versus someone learning online while isolated. Getting past the defensiveness you have toward your work at first is so important for growth.
