A PIL challenging the NTA's decision to reconduct NEET-UG 2026 has been filed in the Supreme Court. The petition argues that holding a re-exam for nearly 22 lakh candidates over alleged paper leaks and irregularities is arbitrary and unfair. A bench led by CJI Justice Surya Kant will hear the matter on June 17
Today, I submitted a representation to the Ministry of Education and NTA on behalf of 1,467 NEET aspirants from across India seeking postponement of the proposed Re-NEET examination scheduled on 21 June 2026.
Students are not responsible for the paper leak incident, yet they are being forced to bear the burden of uncertainty, anxiety, and disruption. A fair opportunity, adequate preparation time, and consideration of students’ mental well-being are essential.
Requested that the examination be postponed by at least one month and that a revised schedule be announced with adequate notice in the interest of justice and fairness for all aspirants.
