@Grummz False, its not about spreading an ideology. We are primarily making an exploration game with some elements of horror. There are many horror games where you can’t kill the monster by design to create a certain experience and evoke certain emotions. We will add deterrence options.
@Pirat_Nation Pirates gonna pirate, we were just upset that some of the pirates had to rub it into people's faces on our Discord, tried to spoiler everybody else patiently waiting for the game, and even tried to stream on Twitch or upload videos on YouTube before launch.
@Derangeddoomer So the "1/3 same" part might be a bit dominant right now, but we are about to introduce a lot more of the improved and new stuff during early access. Thanks for playing the game!
@Derangeddoomer We are aiming for a 1/3 same 1/3 improved 1/3 new mix for SN2, I agree that the early game has a lot of similarities with SN1, but the goal here was to establish that "you are back in Subnautica" even though the game was built in a different engine, and you are on another planet
@LemurianRoR Hey man, appreciate you bringing up these concerns. We are currently discussing revisions for the EULA, and I'm sure it will be updated soon. Stay tuned.
@MonikaCinnyRoll Wow this is incredible! We have so many ideas to improve base building even more.
And of course we will add even more furniture and decorative stuff during early access.
@Dansgaming@Subnautica And did you know that we made it possible that you can attach a Water Slug to these hardpoints too? It makes no sense, but we just had to.
@WorldWideWlgger @Spill_Eviction Yeah, its slower than SN1, but you are still faster than Michael Phelps in his prime. Swimming as fast as in SN1 looks incredibly stupid in coop, that's why we slowed it down. On top of that we need to be mindful about "speed creep" with upgrades like the wakemaker, etc.
@AeornFlippout @dannyodwyer So you mean it won’t be possible that everybody who buys a ”prompt engineering course“ can generate a persistent open world multi-platform online game with networked physics, responsive client side predicted player actions, and a scalable cloud hosting environment any time soon?

@ShamsJorjani Every large corporation wants to have their own big forever game that they can monetize until the end of time, but the market can’t sustain more than a few forever games in the same genre, and it is highly unlikely that any of these new games beats Fortnite at being Fortnite.
@FalconeerDev Quite conflicted regarding early access. On the one hand I’d love us to release our game asap to openly develop the game with our community, on the other hand the expectations are way bigger than a few years ago. A few games set the bar so high, and nobody likes to underdeliver.
@geoffkeene Congratulations man, I also bought it and played it for 90 minutes. You guys really nailed bringing that Half Life nostalgia to life. The future looks bright for you and Deep Field Games. Well deserved.
