I have one of these in my collection from the Eocene, London clay of Sheppey.

@CofCNatHistory They certainly do, and sometimes they are very hard to remove as well. Unfortunately the majority of fossils on Sheppey are found this way and often need quite a bit of work to make them presentable.

@CofCNatHistory We also find vertebra from Otodus obliquus on the Isle of Sheppey (UK) small ones turn up quite regularly but the big ones are few and far between here.
