Pitcher Hirotoshi Takanashi left today’s game due to discomfort in his right elbow. He will undergo tests to determine how serious the injury is.
An unfortunate loss to the starting rotation and I hope it’s nothing serious.

Tetsuto Yamada has begun his time on the farm team. There was reports before the season started that he would be taking reps at third base with eventually starting at the position.
Closer to his return, I wonder if that plan is still in place. The two games he has played in, he has been the DH which will be unavailable on the main team.
Only time will tell and it will be interesting to see where he starts in the field.
