@shreyas In non-product (Biotech), departments comes up with org. goal aligned, validated ideas. As single prod/engg org supporting the org, PM has to convince department leads of the right idea to execute. Chesky gave e.g., of window, engine, wheel company, compared to being car company

"impact" and hours : I wouldn't sign up for direct impact measurement to protect my downside. clarity in process and rituals is more general

@shreyas is this obvious?: New leader. You have may be 1 quarter before you lose the "new" tag. So a decisive leader will make assertive changes and will result in restructuring/layoffs
