@JosephMooneyMP Do you think we should develop a national AI run on our own data centers that we fork of an open model? Obviously would also need our own compute.
@MHReddell Wasn't this whole article just a sour grapes thing from Stuff complaining that the government is advertising to New Zealanders via social media, instead of Stuff's preferred outcome of themselves. I'm not surprised the government is trying a diverse method of reaching NZers.
@PronouncedHare Kind of wondering what the value proposition is for TOP is if they're just peeling off more of the Green voters. Why would a Green voter choose TOP, what other parts of the electorate do they imagine they are appealing to otherwise?
@damienmgrant Most religions were founded in the central latitudes, people who wore head gear were more protected from sun burn on their heads and therefore skin cancer. Therefore, followers were more likely to live longer which attracted more converts. (Don't take this too seriously)

@EricCrampton I would say it seemed like it applied to Novopay in that the teaching system is quite odd and has many not well standardized rule sets, but I'm not someone who understands the idiosyncrasies of the issues it had in great detail.
@smithkstead There are a handful of good and interesting analysis of NZ political history but they're surprisingly hard to find. It's a shame that the best way to get these books is by trawling second hand book stores around Wellington.
