seed will germinate within 14 days with a little moisture and warmth if using turf don't let it dry out otherwise it shrinks
I am back with Shrub of the week Philadelphus ( Mock Orange) deciduous Shrub with white fragrant flowers in June/July. Very fast growing so keep in check by pruning after flowering very hardy and can with stand salt air from the coast.
Plant of the week Papaver (poppy) Fantastic flowers, Easy to grow and maintain and brighten up any flower border. Self seeds So be careful if you only have a small border and with the 75 years D/Day a special flower for a special day.
@JoAngus11 @CoppingAshley Hi Jo that should do the job spray on the leaves or if you have cut them down already brush on the stems but make a fresh cut as this will get through the stem quicker as old cuts seal over, They may need a second treatment

It should say on the bottle and normally the tree stump is usually brushed on and not sprayed
but it is usually easier to renovateTo renovate, cut all stems back almost to the base, just after flowering. Apply a general fertiliser, mulch and water in dry spells. Response is generally good. Leave at least three years before pruning hard again.

Shrub of the week: Pieris Forest Flame with its brilliant red foliage when young gradually turning from pink to cream and finally dark green. It has clusters of pretty white flowers in May/ June and requires a well-drained acid soil. Plant in a sunny or semi shade spot.
Next start laying the first roll butting up next to each one once you have completd the first row start the next but stagger as if you are laying bricks as per pictures below. When you have completed make sure the turf doesn't dry out as they will shrink.
