Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB), in collaboration with the Swaniti Initiative, launched the Textile Sector Industrial Decarbonization Pilot Initiative on 16 December 2025 in Bhilwara, Rajasthan.

An industry visit to Manomay India ahead of the launch helped align the pilot with on-ground industrial realities. The programme featured expert insights from Dr. Bhaskar Natarajan (Swaniti Initiative), while Smt. Jayanti Goela highlighted LUB’s focus on industrial sustainability.

Shri Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, District Collector, Bhilwara, reaffirmed government support for green energy, and Shri Om Prakash Gupta, All India General Secretary, LUB, emphasized active industry participation.

The event was anchored by strong local leadership and coordination from Shri Mahesh Hurkat, Shri Sambhu Prasad Kabra, Shri Girish Aggarwal, and Smt. Pallavi Laddha, reflecting collective commitment from LUB’s district and wing leadership.

An interactive discussion captured industry feedback on energy efficiency, waste heat recovery, and govt. schemes accessibility. The pilot will begin in Bhilwara, aiming to create a scalable decarbonisation model for industrial clusters across Rajasthan and beyond.

Had a productive meeting with the Parliamentarians Group for Clean Air under the chairmanship of Hon’ble MP @GauravGogoiAsm , alongside fellow MPs across party lines.

We discussed and set the agenda for the next two years, focusing on critical issues to be raised in Parliament to ensure cleaner air and a healthier future for our citizens. It was also a pleasure to invite and welcome new MPs to join this significant cause.

I am honored to take over as the Co-Chair of the group alongside Hon’ble MP Gaurav Gogoi and, in extension, as the Global Co-Chair of the Executive Committee, which comprises Chairs of PGCA from across South Asia.

Together, we are committed to tackling air pollution and building a sustainable future for the region.
