[INFO] A soldier who served with Taehyung in SDT shared his experience on what it was like training with Taehyung
“When Taehyung first came to the special-duty unit after being assigned to his permanent unit, he had already been practicing dancing nonstop, so his shoulder wasn't in good shape and he was dealing with persistent shoulder pain. But, just like King Kong Tae said, Taehyung seemed to have a mindset/attitude of pushing himself to see things through to the very end rather than settling for leaving things halfway. I don't think I ever saw him take shortcuts or do things half heartedly. One time, he made a bet with some junior soldiers on how many push-ups they could do, with the loser buying snacks at the PX. I even acted as the referee myself. Despite the painful condition of his shoulder, he did more than 110 push-ups in two minutes without stopping once. He's completely the hardworking type. Around the time I was transferring to another unit, when I was saying goodbye to Taehyung, I was hoping his shoulder pain would at least ease up a little when doing shooting drills. So I cleaned up and gave him the debug board (a shooting-training board) that I'd used like an extension of my own body as a gift before I left. I wonder if it's gotten any better now”
“After training, when we'd take the minibus back to base, the officers would often play music through the speakers. Whenever Taehyung sang along to the songs playing in the vehicle, the ride back to the base felt like a sweet live concert. Even though it was just an impromptu live performance, humming along inside the bus without a microphone, no matter what genre the song was, he sang it in a way that made it feel like I was hearing it for the very first time. I found myself listening completely captivated”
