13 yr old Brooke Sprawling has a rare childhood disease called Ataxia-telangiectasia which limits her movement. She recently did a 5km cycling challenge using a specially adapted trike & raised £255 to help Children Today. SMPC was delighted to donate another £250 to this cause

We are proud to announce that we have signed up to the Norfolk sky lanterns and balloon release charter issued by Norfolk County Council and have adopted a policy preventing the release of either lanterns or balloons from the village hall.

Start off your Christmas with Carols on the Green, being held on Saturday, 30th November....

Many people will walk to the event or car share and burning wood is carbon neutral. That said, we may ask the organiser to consider using eco friendly fireworks in future in an effort to minimise negative impact. One community event has to be better than hundreds of separate ones
