Vendes a Gonzalo, liberas una ficha. En ataque sigues con 5 jugadores, firmas otro (Diomande) y renuevas al que puede salir (Vini). Y ojo, firmas a Espí. Ahora tienes 7 para 3 puestos. Pero todo okey.
Pero eh, para firmar a Rodri sí haces numeritos. De € y de salidas.
Miau.
When I said that Juni Calafat should NOT be doing any work for Real Madrid anymore- replies were that I have no clue what I’m talking about and that he works for Real Madrid, I don’t.
And here you go, Real Madrid had everything in place to piece the summer together but cheapened-out for best player at the World Cup (mind you) who would take a B- transfer window to an A++ which resulted into:
1) Losing leverage
2) Losing players interest
3) Losing players confidence
And if you’re wondering why Real Madrid sporting trajectory was so downwards prior to Mourinho- is that he came to slot things in correctly (hence the involvement here too) and by reporting seems that Real Madrid to beat Barcelona on this race they have to:
1) Pay above the market price
2) Convince Rodri that it was all a mistake and lower their proceedings as a club in negotiations
When you’re purely run as a business and not a sporting team, those cracks are bound to show.
Whole procedure of signing Mourinho and Mendes was to re-install some sporting trajectory but Real Madrid’s board instead of taking a step back and allowing fully fleshed professionals with DECADES of experience handling such manners- they decide they’ll STILL involve themselves in matters that they have strategically failed for VERY long periods.
Rodri wouldn’t be first or last miss of theirs, Real Madrid transfers (unless handled by Mourinho/Mendes or Zidane) have constantly been wrong and their profiling ideation gets even worse because NONE are informed enough- the board is simply made off “Jack of all trades but master of none” people instead of having specific roles to simplify the needs.
The prices paid for players across time and success actually do not fully correlate and only wins Real Madrid has had been majority directed by external parties that have deeper understanding of the sport.
You CANT be a full business growth team and no experts of the field you’re operating on.
It’s a story tale for life.
My admiration and respect for Fran García keep going up ⬆️. The moment he saw the club didn't trust him and was looking to sign another LB, he quickly left to prove himself elsewhere. He didn't create any problems for the club 🫡👏🏽
Not that "I want to stay and fight" nonsense 🤡
