Unsolicited advice on anyone planning to buy a house in Pune / PCMC.

Get a map of 2010 or pre 2010 Pune / PCMC and check the area under the municipal corporation limits. And buy a house only inside that perimeter. The reason being Pune's real estate boom was rapid and unplanned bcz of the growth of IT parks and quality of life it offers. All these areas Hinjewadi, Kharadi, Wagholi, Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa, Undri Pisoli, NIBM, Punawale, Tathawade, Ravet were barren lands / farms just 20-25 yrs ago. There are no water connections, u have to rely on Tankers, the service roads are in a mess, u will spend hours in traffic daily to get to your home because roads weren't planned keeping such growth in the mind. Most of these projects are built on nalas and springs, be ready to have water logged in ur society for days. And because of rampant construction and unauthorised RMC plants its always polluted and dusty. Its borderline unlivable.

प्रांजळ पणे ट्विट करतोय आणि मनापासून करतोय.तुकाराम मुंढे साहेब धाडी टाकून धडाधड हॉटेल आणी फूड प्रॉडक्ट कम्पन्यांना दणका देत आहेत .पण त्यांनी जर अवचित 100 घरांना भेटी देऊन त्यांचे किचन आणि फ्रीज चेक केले तर मी सांगतो 100 पैकी 90 घरातील किचन सीलबंद होतील .
अगदी माझ्या सकट मी सांगतो .
घरोघरी
फ्रीज म्हणजे डम्पिंग ग्राऊंड बनवतात.एकाच प्लास्टिक बॅग मध्ये कोथिंबीर कडीपत्ता मिरच्या पुदिना तो पण ओलसर आणि ती बॅग सगळ्यात खाली त्यावर इतर जड भाज्या.दही कंटेनर अर्धे वापरलेले दूर कुठेतरी फ्रीज मध्ये मागच्या बाजूला असते .एखादी तुकडा पनीर चा कोपऱ्यात पडला असतो ,छोटी वाटी त्यात काढलेली साय कडक होऊन बेवारस म्हणून पडलेली असते.विकत आणलेले लोणचे सॉस खजूर चटणी कोपऱ्यातून कापून वापरली की तशीच फ्रीज दरवाज्याचा खात्यात कोंबून ठेवतात.अर्धवट वापरलेल्या अँटी ऍसिड च्या बाटल्या.वर्ष वर्ष जुनी सरबतची मेप्रो ची बाटली,जेली ची न उघडलेली बॉटल .खराब झालेले टोमॅटो तर एक तरी असतोच.ब्लॅक सीडलेस खजूर त्यावर एखादी अर्धा भरलेला पेढ्यांचा बॉक्स ,वाढदिवस झाल्यानंतर भरपूर थरावर थर लावलेले आयसिंग असलेला केक तर पडीक असतो ..कधीतरी ओले खोबरे वापरून झाल्यावर थोडं उरलेले खोबरे तर किसनी सोबत फ्रीज मध्ये जाते.कहर म्हणजे फ्रोजन फूड आयटम उघडून बाहेर ठेऊन परत फ्रिजर मध्ये जातात.एक आयटम म्हणजे 2/3 स्लाईड असलेला ब्रेड असतोच असतो. मी एका मित्राच्या घरी फ्रीज मध्ये कोरफड चे दोन तुकडे पाहिले आहेत .आता धान्य बघा.एखादी रेडिमेड पीठ एकदाच खाल्लेले पार जाळे लागून जाते मगच सापडते ,एकाच डब्यात तांदळाची पिठी ,अर्धे भाजणी पीठ,राजगिरा पीठ कोंबून ठेवतात.कडधान्याला भोक पाडून जातात .खोबऱ्याचा किस किंवा खोबऱ्याच्या वाट्या खवट वास येई पर्यंत वापरत नाहीत .डब्यांची झाकणे धुळ बसून मळकट होतात ती तसेच राहू देतात.काहींचा किचन ओटा म्हणजे शब्दशः उकिरडा असतो .गॅस शेगडी खाली खरकटे,तेलाची तेलकट स्टील ची बरणी ,कोथिंबीर काकडी ,बटाटे त्यांची सालपट्टे ,चहाचा गाळ ,गवतीचहाच्या काड्या ,सगळे ओट्यावर .उरलेले अन्न ,भाज्या ,दुधाच्या पिशव्या सगळ्या एकच डस्ट बिन मध्ये त्यातच उरलेला भात वरण ,काळ्या कॅरी बॅग न लावता काही घरात टरबूज ,आंबा ,खरबूज ,पपई चे साल टरफले सगळे अस्ताव्यस्त डस्ट बिन खाली पण पडली असतात .
ताटातले खरकटे उरलेले अन्न न काढता सरळ किचन च्या बेसिन मध्ये भांड्यांची रास ठेवतात.
सगळ्यांचा घरी असे नसते पण बहुतेकांन कडे यातले काहीतरी प्रकार असतातच .अप्रूप या गोष्टीचे आहे की अशाच घरचे नवरा बायको हॉटेल ला जेवायला गेल्यावर.दुनियाभरचे मॅनर्स आणि एटिकेट्स दाखवतील. हॉटेल मध्ये घाणेरडेपणा असतोच,एखादी हॉटेल विरळा असते .रविवारी उरलेले मटण सोमवारी उपवास आहे म्हणून मंगळवारी खाणारे महाभाग मी पाहिले आहेत.म्हणून म्हणतो आधी घरापासून सुरुवात करा.स्वछ टापटीप किचन मधला बेचव पदार्थ पण पोटात जातो पण बरबटलेल्या किचन मधली साजूक तुपातली पुरणपोळी पण घशात उतरत नाही .
स्वछता हे ईश्वरीय देणगी असते
सगळ्यांना ही देणगी मिळत नाही
