@Bob_Mondello@npratc Friendly Feedback from an NPR Consumer: The write up about “Till” should include a hyperlink to the Till National Park organization, not to another NPR story. https://t.co/ukTmnrScAO
Notice how you hyperlinked to the Nina Menke’s website in the Brainwashed write up. My 2 cents.
@nprombudsman_ Who approves story headlines? Americans will see this headline (possibly without reading the full story) and come to their own conclusions about what’s happening in Sri Lanka. If this were to happen in America would the same verbiage be used? I highly doubt it.
@arishapiro I welcome your coverage of Sri Lanka but urge you to reconsider your title treatment…using the word “partied” to describe one of the most powerful actions of dissent by a people who are speaking up against corrupt leadership is making light of their dire situation!
Good morning Public Media People of the Global Majority. Here's a thread to get you going for the week. Remember: Realize your worth and know when it's time to move on. Thank you for continuing to share your light @daciatakesnote
For centuries this country has been demonic. Not gonna let this fact disrupt my rest and pleasure. You don’t get to eat me alive and have everything. I belong to me. Not these systems. I’m gonna rest.
Oh yea, part of our brainwashing from living under this Empire is we begin to believe suffering is our birth right and normal. I’m some cases, we may enjoy it also. This is why I keep saying how deep this unraveling goes and why rest is a lifeline for these times.
To add insult to injury, when I click the “Race” category on the mobile website the only stories posted are from @NPRCodeSwitch … I. Don’t. Get. It. Because when I click the “Politics” I see allllll of the “politics” reporting - right where it belongs. Color me confused af.
Yet again, NPR uses the “Race” category for a story that doesn’t at all focus on race. This category was also used for a story about Jada Pinkett Smith. Can you help me understand how these decisions are made @nprombudsman_ ?
The world will literally be burning and podcasters will be set up with a mic in the middle of rubble and flames writing people hand written letters asking you to be a guest on the new podcast they are developing. Obsessed. 😂😂😂😫😫
@kristenkurtis Thank you 😊 I tell myself this regularly ♥️ In the meantime, I do work that uplifts/empowers BIPOC journos and folx in media and I’m pretty darn proud I’ve at least come this far. The journey continues.
people think being a journalist is knowing a little about a lot of things, but really it's knowing nothing at all and asking lots of dumb questions to really smart people.
