SaaS no one cares. But if you’re building a jet engine or a nuclear reactor protecting your IP rights is incredibly important.

@MartinGTobias Former IP attorney here. Spent my career hounding folks not to disclose without an NDA.
Never ask a VC, they have better things to do with their time and money than try to steal your idea. But be smart in what you disclose.

@rossiadam A friend started the DC office of a big SF firm 25 years ago. When I asked him about staffing he replied, “We start with a zero tolerance for assholes.”
I of course wondered how he’d keep to that standard while hiring lawyers in DC.
@Antifund Was at a meeting last week and a guy I’d just described my product to turned around and said “Bob you gotta hear about this…” and then described what we are doing almost perfectly. I was impressed and proud.
