Here btw, I love statistics, ML and AI. Guitar and dog love funded by job in previous sentence.

I'm still in tears at this, if you in anyway work with code or ML then watch this 🤣. I guarantee you laughs (author in link).

@EMAHPInfo@MathThyMod If you can pick up both then you're in a really strong space as academia/industry typically use a either one of the two or a blend of them in their DS stack. More than happy to give you pointers as have used both - hope it helped!
@EMAHPInfo@MathThyMod Sorry for the late reply! Both are really good languages for Data Science and have pros/cons to both. In my opinion if you're comfortable with Python then build up your experience in that, then check out R - tidyverse, ggplot2 etc are all super helpful!
Incredibly interesting talk and what a great presenter, love the enthusiasm and clear science communication!

Be careful though as I found my back was sore if I sat for ages then hunched over when standing to see the monitor!

Shower thought of day: We should have more coding apprenticeships 😁
Yes theory is important (and fun) but we don't ask Joiners to build in the most efficient way first, we show them the tools/techniques first and then train for efficiency.
