@SW_Help why did your ticket guard at Woking charge me £12 to go though the gate to collect a lost Oyster card from the ticket office? All the kind train staff I spoke to said it was fine to collect and return on the round trip without a ticket.

@SW_Help I was told I wouldn't be charged to pick up my Oyster card by staff and the ticket inspector. The guard at Woking wouldn't let me though unless I paid the £12.10 ticket. The ticket office denied they had my Oyster. Despite confirmation they had 1hr before.

@SW_Help I had a zone 1-6 london travel card and spoke to the ticket inspector before boarding the train. He said it was ok to continue from Surbiton to Woking on the ticket but only to collect my Oyster. Like wise staff at Surbiton had said that when I'm ready to collect I don't need 1.
