Tremendous few days at @GolfManchester We’ve all been immensely proud to host the Lancashire Amateur Championship 2026 . A truly fantastic event with a rich history and a list of former champions that includes @TommyFleetwood1
Huge congratulations to all the competitors, and especially to champion Zain Wild. The standard of golf throughout the week was outstanding and a credit to everyone involved.
The effort required to organise and deliver an event of this calibre should never be underestimated. My sincere thanks and respect go to Stuart Leech and all his colleagues at @Lancashiregolf It has been a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team.
A huge thank you also to all our staff and volunteers at Manchester Golf Club. Every single person played their part and should be immensely proud of what has been achieved. Special recognition must go to Matt, our General Manager, Steve, our Bar & Catering Manager, and @Jonnyroberts99 for their exceptional efforts throughout the championship.
Our course has been presented in magnificent condition, and the feedback received from competitors, officials and visitors alike has been nothing short of outstanding.
Finally, thank you to everyone who helped, competed, supported, or simply came along to watch. Your contribution helped make this a memorable championship and a wonderful showcase for amateur golf. It was fantastic to see so much talent on display across such a special piece of golfing land.
Proud to be your 2026 Captain. Well done everyone! A tremendous week for The Manchester Golf Club and Lancashire golf. 👏🏌️♂️💪😎

🚨🎙️: Ronald Koeman: “Arsenal only won the Premier League because of corner kicks.” ⛳️
“If not for corner kicks, they wouldn’t have won the league. I have to be honest — I’m not a fan of their football style or tactics.
You can’t keep pushing goalkeepers just to score goals. In my opinion, many of those goals should have been ruled out. That’s not the kind of record the Premier League should be proud of.
The Premier League is one of the greatest leagues in the world, if not the best, so allowing such actions repeatedly is disappointing to see.” 👀🔥
Mohammed Fahir Amaaz and Muhammad Amaad have been cleared over the alleged assault of a male police officer at Manchester Airport.
The English were swooped up and jailed en masse for social media posts at the same time this was happening.
You see it yet?
UK law:
If you are Muslim you can punch a police offer in the face, bang your first cousin and claim benefits for your fourth wife (also a family number)
If you are white, you get prison time for tweeting how pissed off you are about it.

This is the funniest & most cringe thing you'll see today from 1988!!
Look at the young Gary Lineker and Tomy Adams!!
In Derbyshire these Muslim men were caught in a sheep field with rope and plastic bags. When asked what they were doing they didn’t answer.

In the past five days, whilst the sun has beaten down on our once glorious nation, 1,128 illegals immigrants have entered the UK via 16 dinghies. I wonder how many will go on to rape, murder, and otherwise tarnish our lands, and how many will go on to fully embrace Britishness….
Before I joined the club, Pep was already an inspiration for me. To become his player and after 9 years end up being the one with most games played under him is truly an honour. He arrived at Man City, and the Premier League couldn’t be dominated playing his way… Well, they were wrong. Not only he dominated, he changed the game in England as he did in other countries before. The hunger and ambition to want more and more even after winning and winning again was a big inspiration. For me personally, he was and will always be my father of football. A lot of the things that many managers in the past thought were weaknesses of my game, he saw it as strengths and understood me from day one. On a personal level, the kindness, trust and respect that we had for each other makes me the proudest and goes beyond football. I couldn’t be more grateful for what he did for me and my family. Thank you for all the memories and experiences to the greatest manager ever Pep Guardiola! 😄
Very true! As a @ManUtd fan since ‘76 I wish you the very best. You are a true great & will be remembered for many football accolades but my abiding memory of you is your professionalism & passion not only for the winning but for the care of people who were around you. Your decade has been immense. Well done sir👏👏👏👌
