@mitrajoy_ I remember a post like this in 2016 about Hilary. Guess what happened and who got into office?
Sometimes it’s the lesser of two evils and not the ideal. This country isn’t ready for what you want, change happens incrementally sometimes. This post causes more harm than good.
@Zoya_ki_batein My sister had a man GYN and he did a biopsy and IUD insertion separate with lots of pain for her. Twice the pain for her.
I have a woman GYN and she said when she inserts an IUD a piece of the cervix comes out any way and we can use that for the biopsy sample.
@wilsonhlthcoach Then you’re aware that SSA has all this information already on file and all we need to do is verify the SSN is categorized as a US citizen. To get a SSN you need birth certificate or immigration status so…
No need to have people bring in more paperwork. It’s already there.
@CW_bythebay@TacoforFive1 Which is allowed at the DMV. I work in the financial industry and there specific provisions written into procedures to state this. This bill does not have those
Also, SSA already has all my documents because I presented them to change my name to begin with. It’s already on file
@CW_bythebay@TacoforFive1 I’ll concede, it’s IMPLIED, not stated. But it also doesn’t have anything about chain of custody. If it’s not written into the bill, how are we going to make sure they comply with it?
@CW_bythebay@TacoforFive1 Even X analyzed the text of the bill and says the bill lacks provisions for people with legal name changes.
This is X analyzing our debate. 👇🏽
@CW_bythebay@TacoforFive1 It’s a poorly written bill. It does not provide any reference about chain of custody for a birth certificate. It states if the name doesn’t match, it cannot be used.
@StretchJDC_1@kay_dub_h Then you know that the Social Security Administration already has all this on file.
Great! Why make people have to bring all those documents in again? The government already has them and can verify citizenship that way.
@mcmurray4835@TacoforFive1 No one said securing elections was a waste of resources.
Trying to gather documentation that the Social Security Administration already has on file is an absolute waste of resources.
@GabsClark5 Great! Now take both of those are pay $80 to get a passport because you can’t use either of those documents with an ID. The bill does not allow supplemental docs. It’s birth certificate + ID. Not BC + ID+ Marriage License.
@Notwokenow Except supplemental documents in the verbiage of the bill are not allowed. Now a woman that has changed her name needs a passport or passport card to prove citizenship.
Also, SSA already has this information on file - Birth certificates, Marriage License, ect.
@mcmurray4835@TacoforFive1 Nope. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
I was born female and I married a man. I just know disparate treatment when I see it. I also know what wasting resources looks like.
