Olandria has this way of making you want more from life. To dream bigger, stand taller, and believe that maybe the things you hope for really are possible.
Watching her journey makes me want to keep growing into the person I’m meant to be. As a Latina, I’m grateful to have someone like her to look up to.🤍 #Olandria
At first, I didn’t think it was my place to chime in because the convo was specifically about the representation of Black women in the media. But as a young white/Arab woman, I still wanted to share how much I feel Olandria represents me.
As a woman who is passionate about education, loves fashion, is family oriented, who refuses to be boxed into one identity, extremely authentic, has strong boundaries, independent & who isn’t afraid to be honest, I see so much of myself in her. She reflects my values beautifully.
& even beyond representation, she’s genuinely an inspiration to me. She’s reminded me to carry myself with class in every room I enter, to stand firmly in who I am w unwavering confidence & that not every action deserves a reaction. I’m so so happy & excited to have a young woman like Olandria in the media.
"But it's like watching a group of people partake in a race that is designed for them to fail"
A word from a white person that noticed how much y'all don't want to be saved because of your hatred towards olandria.

#Olandria Carthen had plenty of opportunities to capitalize on the momentum after #LoveIslandUSA — but she made a conscious decision to take a different route.
During her CultureCon conversation, “Build Your Own Brand: How to Lead with Intention,” Olandria revealed that after leaving her job and initially relying on her savings, she chose to prioritize visiting schools and advocating for education instead of simply making club appearances.
“I’m not gonna go to the clubs. I’m gonna go to the schools,” Olandria recalled, explaining that education has always been central to who she is — even if it wasn’t necessarily the most popular choice for building her post-show brand.
“If you’re really rocking with me and what I stand for, my people are gonna find me.”

After capturing Zendaya approaching Ola at ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood, thegreatisnate interviewed her about what that interaction meant to her. Ola thanked him for recording it and joked that she’d never seen someone run toward her that fast in heels. He shared that Zendaya described Love Island as her escape from Euphoria, which meant so much to Olandria because Zendaya’s shows had been an escape for Ola growing up.
