Let people misunderstand you. People give opinions. Then, they go home. Eat dinner. Scroll Instagram. Worry about their own problems. And they wake up the next morning and forget about you. Nobody remembers it forever. So, just do what you gotta do. Stop worrying about people.
Burn out doesn’t come from having too much to do—it comes from not doing the things that actually matter to you. ㅤ
The weight you carry isn’t the work itself, but the meaninglessness of it.
Instead of worrying if they’ll like you, ask yourself if you are going to like them.
ㅤ
Instead of trying to say the right thing, see if they say the right thing to you.
ㅤ
Instead of looking for their approval, decide if you are willing to give yours.
@markmanson Learning is a shield from action.
We trick ourselves into feeling productive by consuming information.
The real progress happens when you apply it.
Don't chase trends, chase your inner calling. There are a lot of forces that will distract you when you're trying to hear that calling. Pretentiousness, trends, fear, money, other people's opinions. But if you stick to what feels right in your heart, success is certain.
Introverts don't have time for any weird energy. They are kind, caring, and loving. They give more than they receive. Reciprocate your every little effort. But if they catch one wrong vibe, they're out.
Some people show care by worrying too much.
Introverts don't fall in that category.
They take care by actually sending you good vibes, not necessarily by saying anything.
But people are used to recieving too expressive reactions from others that they might not understand an introvert person's care.
I felt this happened with me and I tried to change myself.
But I now finally realise that being a bit less expressive means you are not much affected by the good or the bad.
You remain stable.
This inturn gives the situation the power to normalise. (This is a spiritual aspect of it. Isn't it?)
Why did I try to change myself?
My lack of understanding.
Why am I back to being how I used to be?
Because now I understand my introversion on a spiritual level.
Doesn't introversion invite you to explore that side of yours?
I truly feel this is true for every introvert.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
