Tonight a new season begins.

We were born into sin. Every one of us. But God said: no longer will Satan have the advantage. Because of the blood covenant He made with mankind through His Son Jesus Christ, the accuser has lost his case against you.

Satan is called the accuser of the brethren. (Revelation 12:10) His strategy is legal accusation- using your past, your failures, your sin as evidence against you. But the blood of Jesus answers every charge. He cannot make accusation against you on the basis of the blood covenant. The case is dismissed. The evidence has been covered.

And this is ultimately what the Day of Atonement is all about.

God set these divine appointments as arrangements to meet with you. He calls you away from the ordinary, into consecration, dedication, and preparation — not to slow you down but to advance you. To elevate you. To take you higher than where you have been living.

This evening at sundown begins Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, Sept 20-21st at sundown.

When you think about the blood covenant and what Jesus did for you, what is that worth in your life? It is eternity. It is what brought you to God.
