6 Years On... Your Legacy Still Leads the Way
Today marks six years since you departed this world, yet not a day goes by without your memory living vividly in our hearts.
Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo (Pepperito), you were far more than a political leader to me. You were a father, a mentor, a confidant, and one of the most influential figures in my journey through leadership and public service.
Six years later, I still hear your words of wisdom, remember your counsel, and draw strength from the values you lived by. Your commitment to the people, your courage in difficult moments, your generosity of spirit, and your uncommon ability to nurture others remain a source of inspiration.
You believed in people. You gave opportunities, built confidence, and helped shape destinies. I remain eternally grateful for the guidance, trust, and support you extended to me. Many of the lessons you taught continue to influence my decisions and my approach to service.
While time has passed, the void your departure created can never truly be filled. Yet, your impact remains evident in the lives you touched, the leaders you raised, and the communities you served with unwavering dedication.
Today, we remember you with gratitude, honour your legacy with pride, and pray for your eternal rest.
May Almighty Allah continue to illuminate your resting place and grant you the highest station in Jannatul Firdaus.
You may be gone from our sight, Daddy, but you will never be gone from our hearts.
Forever remembered. Forever cherished.
— Mayor Dele Oshinowo
