@ChicagoWhite He was Wembley 1972 v Arsenal. He was trying shoot some scenes for a programme outside the Leeds end but was constantly disrupted. He looked very annoyed.
@Yorkshire_Tales Everything about that picture is perfect. Packed terrace, floodlight, the old Lowfield stand with it's columns, the refs massive turn-over socks, both kits and especially that football.
@LUSCgriffinLUFC I went as a 12 year old on a coach with windows and came back on a coach without windows. It hadn't been helped by one lad sticking his head out and shouting 'do you speak English'. Run back to coaches with what seemed like half the Leazes after us left an impression!
@LUSCgriffinLUFC@LUFC@stokecity I was there as a twelve year old! All I remember is standing on what was then a big open terrace opposite the Boothen End surrounded by loads of Leeds.
@Yorkshire_Tales@NHS_EandF I genuinely can't remember. Prob. not my first match was against Bristol City in the cup. Gary Sprake got sent off. Think that was slightly later.
@Yorkshire_Tales@NHS_EandF No, there was a fence between Lowfields and Shed. Certainly by late 60s anyway. I remember being lifted out of Lowfields in a crush and being hoisted over wall into Shed. My dad shouted over to meet him outside Peacock after. Safeguarding!
@joannedrew76@JohnEwanUK Crikey, someone's happy, tells everyone the news and yet someone has to hammer in a negative nail. Welcome fellow SW corner people and UTFT.
@Yorkshire_Tales I might be wrong but I think there must have been a ledge or flat roof because my 12 year mind's eye has a vivid shot of a couple of Wolves and Leeds lads scrapping up there. Course age and memory is fallible.
@TheWickedJJ @12DaisiesX0X @sam_bidwell@AnnMSinnott Using that word tells us quite a bit about what kind of person you are. And, it's not about 'wokeness', it's about decency.
@gordzilla @Gary_Kidson @charlhennessy1 Bloke rightly cross at tragedy chants, feels it's ok to call someone a retard. Talk about spoiling you own argument.
Calling people that is a stab in the heart for mums, dads, brothers, sisters of kids with learning difficulties. Language does matter.
@MitchBenn And as daft as brush to think two ideas can't be held at same time. Yes, the press is horribly partisan but some labour figures are sly, shameless and inexcusably hypocritical.
