@AmericanAir@AACustomerCare yet another unhappy customer here. I bought Res 1 for work, and then the work trip got canceled. So I got Trip Credit. Cool. I applied Trip Credit to Res 2, and had some $ left on Trip Credit. I got sick and had to cancel Res 2.
@AALSucks I purchased tickets choosing more expensive ones because better flight times. American cancelled those and re booked me on the insane flight times that were several hundred dollars cheaper. NO COMPENSATION! I’m told, that’s policy. No ethics other than greed
@AmericanAir Pretty unhelpful reply…. So I see why you wanted this to go into DMs. Look, AA, I want a refund. I had credit your systems wouldn’t allow me to apply to a reservation, had to pay extra. Since I couldn’t use the credit balance, I want it refunded.
That AA is “unable” to issue a refund on the Trip Credit. This is 🍌 🍌. I wanted to use the credit, you told me I couldn’t. So please just issue the refund. I don’t want to fly AA (now or in the foreseeable future) so credit (that I can’t even seem to use) is not acceptable. 😩
But I’ve been disconnected and the systems are “really bad today” so I’m told to book so I at least get ticketed, but this requires me to pay out of pocket (since I can’t apply Trip Credit) to cover the balance. I book, reach out about a refund on the Trip Credit and am told
@AmericanAir#dobetter I purchased a ticket from my account using my debit card for a family member who has the same last name as me. I had to cancel that flight for personal reasons and would like to use that credit & am being told you can’t help me by your CX team. Disappointed

@laurieontech I just use “Pacific” - more letters, yes, but with the advantage of being clear and not looking like idk the difference b/t PST and PDT (which I do not).
@editingemily I agree with your main point, but I often use color-coding and in-line responses to call out point-by-point responses in long emails/threads. To be clear, I try to avoid authoring such emails myself, but someone’s it’s the least bad option. And I like purple. :)
