this was my main goal with this project and I'm thinking of stopping it here. The bootstrapped compiler has bad diagnostics and it will unless I implement stdarg.h and the definition of variadic C functions, which I'm not sure I want to do.

day 2 of AoC and I still can't print out solutions due to printf segfaulting but I can dump my compiler's answers via gdb and they've been correct so far!

two problems with my compiler that prevent it from handling part 2: I haven't implemented short-circuit boolean ops yet, and calls to printf segfault for reasons I don't understand yet. vararg stack alignment or something?
