@DrAndrewSchwarz Mrs. Fields' Cookies was a business that was built & curated with such intentionality. Their IT was way ahead of their time for a business w/ such modest beginnings. The leaders of the company didn't compromise their overall vision, but brought in innovators & forward thinkers.
@DrAndrewSchwarz My greatest take-away from is how crucial having a strategy & getting organizational buy-in can be in being a changemaker & spearheading a project. Additionally, I have learned that evolving your IT Systems as technology comes out can save companies issues & money down the line.
@DrAndrewSchwarz The change management simulation reminded me how difficult it can be to turn resistors into adopters. However, that being said, I learned identifying these resistors early and addressing their concerns and being strategic can remove any barriers to adoption experienced.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I totally get that! I hike, as well and my biggest fear is getting lost out in the woods and not being able to find my way back. I also am a big swimmer. So the waterproof feature of the iPhones and iWatches was a big selling point for my in past releases.๐
@DrAndrewSchwarz I am interested to see how this affects the interactions amongst users on this App, since we have not seen this kind of engagement tool before. Will this affect the way influencers monetize their content and platform?

@DrAndrewSchwarz This seems like an obvious red flag to Zara's business leaders, especially since they could NOT get it in writing contractual that the Vendor would promise to NOT change anything with the DOS System that would render it incompatible & leave Zara stores without a functioning POS.
@DrAndrewSchwarz What stands out to me from the Zara Case Study as a huge red flag is the fact that if they decided to NOT improve their POS system, they will be reliant on their DOS vendor to not change any compatibility in order for their store operations to continue to be supported.
@DrAndrewSchwarz The fact that the leaders of EY's 15 largest members accounts for 80% of its $45 billion annual revenues really points to and emphasizes the fact that these companies should have been split up a long time ago.
@DrAndrewSchwarz This is so interesting, especially after Facebook was recently penalized and sentenced to pay $400 million fine in Europe for Instagram infringing on the data protection rules surrounding children and minors.

@DrAndrewSchwarz I learned that looking at customer satisfaction via review Reviews on the restaurant and service is the data you should use to determine at any given time if you need more employees.
@DrAndrewSchwarz While cloud integration can give companies some pause due to potential cyber security concerns, I think the risk of NOT taking advantage of the cloud & this technology is a greater risk to companies than a potential cyber security event occurring or being hacked. #procloud
@DrAndrewSchwarz What has stood out to me most in this class is the fact that a ton of really successful companies only leverage information systems or technology to an extent due to fear of trying something new.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I attribute Otis Elevator's success to the fact that they saw an opportunity to serve their customers in a better way and increase customer satisfaction. Thus, they followed through on that commitment. These are honestly the best companies. (i.e. customer centered companies)
@DrAndrewSchwarz When I hear IT, I think of @Apple & @Microsoft. Mainly, I think of the iPod and Steve Jobs revealing it saying, "Imagine a million songs in your pocket..." I think of getting my first iPod and what that felt like and the transformation of those tech products overtime.
@DrAndrewSchwarz I really am not into the idea of the metaverse, especially post-COVID. I think we need to be less technologically engaged and more present. Moments seem to be so much less precious if not captured these days. I hate that! #normalizetechfreemoments
