At 36, Taylor Swift will become the youngest writer ever inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, echoing the honor she picked up earlier this year as the youngest female writer to join the Songwriters Hall of Fame. The Hall's eligibility clock runs 20 years — and Swift's induction lands on the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Taylor Swift.
In a message read by executive director Mark Ford on the livestream, Swift laid it out: "From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be… a town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination. To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing."
Swift goes in under the contemporary songwriter/artist banner. She's joined by Lyle Lovett (veteran songwriter/artist), Shawn Camp and Lee Thomas Miller (contemporary songwriter), and Bruce Channel (veteran songwriter).
Taylor Swift will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at 36 years old, the youngest writer ever to receive the honor.
“From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be,” Swift wrote in a statement. “I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of. A town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination. Where the writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t. To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”
The accolade follows Swift having been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York in June, at which point she became the youngest female writer ever to join that hall.

Taylor Swift got married at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Adam Sandler officiated. Stevie Nicks performed. Phones were banned.
And for the brands she wore, it's already a different business reality.
She chose Christian Dior haute couture, custom Christian Louboutin shoes and Cartier jewelry. The last time Swift wore a designer piece publicly — a $320 Ralph Lauren dress from her engagement photos — it sold out within minutes. Her engagement ring designer went from obscure to household name overnight, with replicas flooding online marketplaces almost immediately.
Luxury wedding planner Irene Katzias put it plainly: whoever planned this event is "inadvertently creating history and creating a trend."
The wedding industry is already bracing for the ripple effects. Brides will study every detail. The replicas are already coming.
There's a real business lesson underneath the celebrity coverage: brand association at this scale isn't marketing. It's a category reset. One placement — one moment of genuine cultural visibility — can do what years of advertising can't. The brands Swift chose didn't pitch for this. They earned it through quality and positioning, and now they'll spend years riding the return.
The question worth asking for any brand: what would it take to be the kind of company someone like that chooses without being asked?

I completely understand where you’re coming from, but for a lot of gamers physical discs are the only way they could afford to play games because they could get them secondhand. You can also give games to your younger siblings Which is a great way to introduce them to the games you were playing.
Most importantly though, as we saw from PlayStation this past week, if the media we buy is only digital, it can be taken away from us at a moment’s notice with no recourse. Imagine that, one day your entire library of games could be deleted overnight because technically you don’t own it.
