Montpelier's disaster would have been so much worse had the dam there overtopped or failed. Thankfully, it didn't but experts say that as climate change brings stronger storms, dams across the region are at risk. https://t.co/nsRL6xxag7
“It looks like the gas companies used AIM as a kind of front group, really, to hide behind,” said @itai_vardi. “These e-mails show that the pipeline industry, Enbridge, and the gas companies were the main drivers here in terms of providing money.”
Out today: Study touting hydrogen — a technology favored by gas firms — was funded by gas interests, e-mails show https://t.co/CggUV4Yrh6 via @BostonGlobe
2/3 It's a special job for a special reporter. We'll prize great storytelling, experience with data, and accountability work. We don't necessarily need climate experience. Our team's driving philosophy is that tackling the climate crisis is a matter of urgent public interest.
Just after midnight, and it’s official: MA House and MA Senate conferees have filed a terrific climate bill. Expect legislative approval tomo … no, make that today. I’m going to bed.
I am so honored and amazed. Thank you to @SH_Awards, and to the most amazing team I could imagine: @swilmsen, a hero of an editor who believed in this story when I didn’t, @BethTeitell, who read every letter and talked me off every ledge, and to @ryanhuddle who made it beautiful.

The #BergerAward Jury said Allen’s story is “deep reporting…with elegant prose” and “comes as close as possible to what all long-form narrative writers hope to accomplish – inhabiting the inner psyche of a character.”
Allen investigated so-called “dynasty families” in underserved neighborhoods – families that seemed to bequeath a legacy of violence upon each new generation. Allen wanted to better understand it – what its roots were, why and how it propagated, and its meaning.
Just announced -- @EvanMAllen@BostonGlobe @ is the 2022 #BergerAward winner for her story “Under the Wheel” about generational racism and violence. https://t.co/cUymzW15Ef
Renewables should have full participation in our markets now, not in two years. My office remains opposed to this delay and will work to get it reversed.
