Time to head home… and it’s never easy. ❤️

One month. So much to take in.

This second visit has reminded me — every single day — why I love this club so deeply. From the honour of appointing John Wilkinson as Life President, to standing with our fans and witnessing that stunning comeback at Halifax. From the hard yards with our brilliant board and management laying the foundations for 2026 and 2027, to something far more personal.

I was also fortunate to have several extremely positive meetings during my time here — conversations that I genuinely believe could bring further excitement and success to this great club. I can’t say too much just yet, but watch this space. 👀

Watching my Dad — on his 82nd birthday — have his shirt presented by Chewy and the players in the changing room, and then proudly share the history of Salford RLFC with the lads… that is a memory no one can ever take from me.

Saying goodbye to Mum, Dad and my UK family is never simple. But knowing I’ll be back with my amazing wife, my partner through 33 incredible years, and our children Jolie and Ben in just 24 hours, keeps me going.

To our fans and sponsors — you are the heartbeat of this club. Thank you for everything since day one. One more win on Sunday would be the perfect send-off! 🙏

@M_Shaw1 As I understand it for the HMRC to extend, it has to be evident that funds are imminent and there must be a signed agreement with money due to land in the coming days, or a down payment must have been made today.
