We are looking forward to introduce you to the faces behind Swissloop in the next few days. At the same time we are happy to announce that we are registering for the EHW again this year. We are excited to see how our pod will perform in Edinburgh!
We started the season with the largest team in the history of Swissloop. Our engineers are already fully at work with research, drafting and presenting first design ideas. The operations team is in lively exchange with various companies for collaborations and sponsorships.
We are happy to announce that EHW 2023 is going to take place in Edinburgh. Stay tuned this week for more information regarding registering your team in order to receive this year’s Rules and Regulations.

Lamprecht, as one of our loyal partners, not only took care of the transport of our pod to the EHW this year, but also brought our test track at the same time. Many thanks Lamprecht!
Högg has been a very reliable partner of Swissloop for several years and supported us once again with the production of aluminum parts that we needed for the braking system. Thanks to their precise work, we were always able to bring our pod to a halt without any problems!
Creating a hyperloop prototype requires the adaptation of various electronics to meet the high-speed requirements of the pod. Altium enables us to design our own printed circuit boards (PCBs) to tailor them to our use case.
One of our biggest parts for our pod was made by Molinari. The approximately 2.5 metre long chassis, which has a sandwich structure, made of two aluminium plates from Molinari and a Rohacell foam. Thanks to Molinari for their big support.
EKZ is a Swiss energy supply company. They are one of our most loyal partners. We would like to express our thanks to @EKZenergie for the many years of their support.
Our sponsor @Montanstahl_de supplied us with high-precision steel profiles for our test track. In June, we were able to visit our platinum sponsor Montanstahl in Stabio. There we gained exciting insights into the diversity of the company.
Thank you Montanstahl!
Thanks to Cimform, our shell isn't just lightweight, it is also very robust! They milled the core of the shell for us, which would have been almost impossible to do by hand. Thanks, again!
Laminating, the process to produce a carbon part is very complicated and time-consuming. Connova taught us how to laminate and then we could use that knowledge to laminate our shell as well.
In Controls, sensors play a crucial role. That's why we are very happy to have a long-lasting partner like Baumer. Not only did they supply us with break-sensors, but also with sensors which help keep the pod centred during a run.
TDK has been supporting us in various areas for several years. Be it in technical consulting, with components for the inverter or in financial support. Therefore, we would like to thank TDK for the constructive exchange and the excellent cooperation.
Thanks to the high quality and precision of the steel profiles used to create the custom rails, we were able to assemble our track swiftly and hassle-free. This efficiency can be accredited especially to the tight tolerances of the special steel sections provided by Montanstahl.
WHAT A WEEK!
The @HyperloopWeek is in the past. We are taking home the „mechanical subsystem“ and the „traction“ award home. It‘s been a thrilling experience. We will for sure be there next year.
We also got some big plans for the next season, stay tuned!
Today, we want to thank our long-standing Gold-Partner @MolinariRailGrp. Thanks to their support in manufacturing and their expertise in engineering we can implement tailor-made improvements to the pod each year again. This year, we thank them for manufacturing the metal sheets.
