Friedrich Knie, founder of the Knie dynasty and son of empress Maria Teresa is physician, was born in Erfurt (Germany) in 1784. In 1803 at the age of 19, he founded at an equestrian association. In 1919 the fourth generation of the Knie Family created the Swiss National Circus.
Werdenberg is a small village nestled in the Rhine valley. The houses are mostly made of wood, richly decorated and closely reflect the typical taste of St. Gallen construction.
The tower was constructed in 1139 and in two successive stages was raised to reach 25 meteres. The property situated on a slow moving ground has an inclination of 10 degrees to the vertical and has become the symbol of well known St. Moritz.

Since the mid 9th century a building has been present on this land. In the sixteenth century a royal resthouse was then constructed which has fortunately maintained its beauty until today.
Wil is considered one of the best preserved old towns of Eastern Switzerland. In the square dominate the Hof zu Wil, monument with over 800 years of history and once the seat of the abbots of St. Gall, and the House of Barons, prestigious government building of classicism.
The Federal Parliament in Bern is the official seat of the Swiss Government. The western part of the building was built between 1852 and 1857, followed by the eastern part between 1888 and 1892 and finally the central dome from 1892 to 1902.

The first William Tell monument was brought to Altdorf in 1860 by the people of Uri during a Federal Shooting Meeting. The monument that can be seen today at Altdorf was inaugurated in 1895 and is guarded by an old fire watch tower know as Turmli.

Bremgarten was founded by the Muri Monastery in the 11th century. The Reuss river flows on three sides of the town. During its history, Bremgarten was frequently submitted by enemies coming from foreign countries and there have been few occasions in which it was actually free.
An inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of State Councillor Christian Vitta who, in addition to welcoming the initiative, recalled that Swissminiatur is an important tourist attraction for the Canton of Ticino.

The Locarno Festival is an annual film festival held every August in Locarno, Switzerland. Founded in 1946, it is one of the longest-running film festivals and is also known for being a prestigious platform for art house films.
The top prize of the Festival is the Golden Leopard to the best film in the International Competition. Other awards include the Leopard of Honour for career achievement, and the Prix du Public UBS, the public choice award.
