The word “dildo” arose in 16th Century England, and for decades was used as a filler word in songs, much like “la dee dah” is used today. The result is a couple of old English tunes for lute and countertenor that use the word “dildo” extensively, like this one by Thomas Morley.

The Conservatives have governed this nation for centuries, with some interspersed periods of Labour in power. It just has not worked, it has led our nation to a preciptous situation. We were safe and successful in the EU. The Conservatives pursued austerity even then, recognising they had placed the nation in financial difficulties. Then came the myth of Brexit, false optimism and spend their way out of it. There now needs to be some very basic and substansive thinking as we are in a downward spiral and our fundamentals are wrong. We have a long road to steady the ship, dreams of resolution will not help, we need to take action and the longer we leave it, the steeper the climb will become.
