Would you be upset with a BW-like,new Pokémon Dex for WIWA?

Just think,we usually get around 90 new Pokémon designs every 3 years,but this time it’s 5 years between Gens.Naturally there’d be more Pokémon and that’s ALWAYS a plus to me!

This is would truly be a new Gen5/BW situation,but this time I think the culture has changed and this generation of Pokémon fans are ready for it!

I always ONLY use new Pokémon in my first play-through of a new Gen, so having the majority of the dex being new Pokémon, and the minority being older Pokémon (with new forms?) sounds HYPE to me.

TO ME, Pokémon games are first and foremost about getting new Pokémon designs/art. So I’d be over the moon for even just 150 new Pokémon, let alone 300!

No matter what happens I do think Game Freak are intentional about having a bigger number of new Pokémon and forms IN WIWA because of the scope of the vast region and environments, but also for the 30th anniversary/10th Gen extravaganza!

With all the talk of WIWA having around 300 new Pokémon, you can see why I’m so passionate about how easy & logical it’d be for TPC to reveal a few Pokémon in 2026 just to keep fans hype!

Even just 2 more later in the year would be great. Then after Feb/June 2027, I don’t see why we shouldn’t have trailers NEARLY every month like Sun and Moon’s promo cycle.
And there’s fun creative ways to do this too!

That would hypothetically still leave over 200 unrevealed Pokémon on release.

We should always keep in mind that this was Pokémon’s 30th year anniversary game and 10th gen- the games were always meant to be a big celebration, why not the promo cycle/reveals too?!

- The idea is for the generation to be "the most personable" yet. "Remember all new Pokémon, to know them, to feel closer to them".
- Even if the game scope already got reduced A LOT since the initial pitch, it still will be very ambitious.

- Salandit will get a regional evolution, Poison/Dragon.
- Lt. Surge's son will be in the game and has his dad's Raichu.
- Voice acting was planned for the game but could have been cut as it's not present in the current builds anymore.
- Online play (MMOlite features) will be the biggest technical leap in Gen 10.
- Some of the Pokémon that currently have placeholder special weather forms in the game are Arcanine, Lucario, Kecleon, Pikachu and 7 new Gen 10 Pokémon (note things can change in final game, remember Mega Jynx).
- A lot of the development team already has moved to the DLC, codenamed Zeus (note: the main game codename is Gaia).
- Winds/Waves will be an ambitious game, and the delay to 2027 was just due to needing more time to finish the game.

Alleged Pokémon Winds/Waves Leak Summary (July 7)

531 Pokédex slots in the latest build, with 307 placeholders reserved for new Pokémon and regional forms. Gimmick/temporary forms are likely not included.

Final starter typings are allegedly Grass/Ground, Fire/Fairy, and Water/Psychic.

The rumored Poison/Dragon Pokémon is reportedly a regional Salandit evolution.

Netsu (Majin) is a new form-shifting battle mechanic similar in concept to Dynamax/Gigantamax, but treated as a single gimmick.

Every Pokémon can use Netsu, although only some receive unique forms.

Current placeholder Netsu forms reportedly include Arcanine, Lucario, Kecleon, Pikachu, and 7 new Gen 10 Pokémon.

The story allegedly features Lt. Surge's son, who uses his father's Raichu.

The game is said to feature three main routes:
Victory Road -> Surge Son will be in this route
Legend Tour -> The rival and sick girl will be in this route
Majin/Netsu Tour -> Evil CEO son will be in this route

An Ice/Psychic three-stage line is reportedly in the build, believed to be a regional Psyduck with two new evolutions.

Weather effects act as exploration barriers that can be removed during the Legend Tour.

The game reportedly includes side quests.

There are currently no new Grass/Steel Pokémon in the build.

Voice acting was planned during development but is absent from the latest builds and may have been cut.

MMO-lite online features are reportedly the biggest technical innovation planned for Gen 10.

The base game is internally codenamed Gaia, while the DLC is codenamed Zeus.

Much of the development team has reportedly already shifted to DLC development.
