Crooks shot & wounded Trump but was eliminated by snipers 26 sec later. The Secret Service knew of his presence 20 min before the attempt and had him on their radar for 40 min. The closest counter-sniper team, positioned 430 feet away, was potentially obstructed, while a second team, 570 feet away, killed Crooks. A local counter-assault team was inside the building from where Crooks made his attempt, yet Trump was not warned.
