Using a code editor to reason about a system is like using a magnifying glass to reason about a city.

People seem to find the #Smalltalk syntax confusing.

The confusion seems to stem from how words are separated by whitespace, and how sentences are ended with periods.

🤷

@nixcraft Haha, maybe try solving problems by using BDD with specification by example, when you code.
It much simpler to do it that way ;)

My mask protects you, your mask protects me.

The wearing of face coverings on public transport helps reduce the spread of Covid, and crucially gives Londoners confidence to travel - which is vital to our economic recovery.

Years ago on the tube my Japanese friend popped a mask on. I asked her why, she said she had a bit of a cold and didn't want to pass it on. It wasn't political, it wasn't an attack on her freedom. Just a courtesy to her fellow passengers. Why can't it be that simple? #MaskUp

In June 2016, just before the EU referendum, Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Priti Patel signed a pledge to EU citizens in the UK. It said that, if the UK decided to leave the EU, they would automatically be granted indefinite leave to remain. Here it is.

[Sebastian @swoldanski]

I’m a parent too. But for my kids’ sake I’m unwilling to help governments build the surveillance infrastructure of the future, until governments explain precisely how they will keep that infrastructure from being abused. I don’t think they have a plan. //
