I found these in my storage: the booklet included with the MGS2 limited edition, the MGS3 pamphlet we handed out at E3, and the booklet included with the ANUBIS limited edition. Back when we used to make everything in-house. The early visual concept for MGS3 was designed by Kyle. Harry was born in 1961, Kyle in 1962, I was born in 1963, and MGS3 is set in 1964.

- Completely lose Hideo Kojima
- Attempt to cancel Kojima's next Metal Gear franchise
- Kojima cuts ties entirely and goes to XBOX
- Force your single-player studios to make live service games
- Concord happens
- Proceed to cancel most of them, losing years of development time and billions of dollars
- Buy Bluepoint and have them make a live-service rather than remakes
- Close Bluepoint down before they release any games
- Start selling vertical stands separately rather than have them come with the console
- Console prices at an all-time high

Genuinely... what is going on at Sony. disaster after disaster, huge L after L. They were my favorite gaming company throughout the PS4 generation but genuinely, how do you lose EVERYONE this fast? Meanwhile, XBOX is taking full advantage of this and priming a major comeback next generation. A literal generational fumble happening at Sony.

As confirmed earlier through our official channels, in mid-June of this year, we unexpectedly received notice from PlayStation Studios that they would cancel the PHYSINT project. PHYSINT is an important project both to me personally and to KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS. Determined to keep the project alive, we have spent the last three months searching tirelessly for a new partner. In the course of seeking advice and pursuing negotiations with people across many fields, we found in XBOX a partner with whom we share a common vision for the future, and we have decided to team up with them once again. Please rest assured that development of PHYSINT, our genre-defining action-espionage title, is ongoing and will continue moving forward.

NON MAIS IL SE PASSE QUOI LÀ !!!???

On vient d'apprendre dans la nuit que Sony avait décidé mi-Juin d'annuler Physint, le nouveau jeu d'action/infiltration de Hideo Kojima, et parce qu'il ne voulait bien évidemment pas abandonner le projet, Kojima a rapidement cherché un repreneur.

Ce repreneur ? Xbox, avec qui Kojima bosse déjà sur le projet OD !

Bref, le développement de Physint a repris et Kojima est plus que déterminé à l'idée de sortir le jeu !

Pour le coup, je sens que beaucoup de gens feront le parallèle entre Sony et le Konami des années 2010, qui après avoir enchaîné des décisions ultra impopulaires, avait détruit sa réputation de manière irréparable pendant quasi 10 ans après avoir viré Hideo Kojima, qui avait été récupéré par Sony. L'Histoire semble se répéter, à ceci près qu'on remplace Konami par Sony et Sony par Microsoft.

C'est complètement fou ce qu'il se passe sous nos yeux depuis plusieurs mois 😳
