Today is Armed Forces Day — a time to stop and show true respect to every man and woman who has served, is still serving, and to the families who stand beside them.

For me, the military wasn’t just a chapter in my life — it was the foundation. From the Army, to the Royal Marines, to the UK’s Elite Special Forces (SBS), every step shaped me. It instilled discipline, forged resilience, demanded leadership, and taught me the value of service above self.

The battlefield might look different now, but the mindset remains. Everything I am today — the way I lead, the way I push through challenges, the way I show up — comes from those years in uniform.

To those who are currently serving: I honour you.
To every veteran: I thank you.
To the families who endure the worry, the distance, and the unknown: your strength is every bit as powerful.
