@LukeberryPi I like Perplexity/Comet. It’s very lab agnostic and integrates AI well. I haven’t payed for any Computer usage so I can’t say anything about that but Assistant and Perplexity in the browser have been great.
Local Qwen3.8 and pi-loop-mode are doing God’s work on my machine right now.
Might be time to dump the over-engineering, over-explaining, and over-thinking frontier lab models.
(I’m gonna dump all my usage into Astra when it drops)
@Da7_Tech It’s getting ridiculous. You can buy one subscription from any frontier lab and have it work amazing for like a week. But then before one billing cycle is even complete that sub’s top models are obsolete, the models “magically” become stupider, and rate limit policy changes.
@sattyyouneed I’m too poor to thoroughly test fable and I haven’t used many of the frontier open-weight models. So take my advice accordingly. I havent tried grok and the harnesses surrounding for coding either, but from what I’ve heard those are worth considering as well.
@sattyyouneed Codex. Usually can use your subscription to auth w/ 3rd party harnesses, with claude I’ve only seen t3code offer that (with no forced api credit purchase). And gpt-5.6 is imo a highly capable and efficient frontier model family. Near-infinite 5.6-luna usage.
