No, we can't change it here. But, my curiosity is piqued. I see people who are neither Jewish nor Islamic weighing in on something they don't understand. I wonder why.

@GeoRebekah I totally understand this...and it's nothing but frustrating. If I were to make up statistics, I'd say less than 5% of Twitter users understand more than 10% of what's happened there over the last three millenia. I'd also say more than 95% only know what they're told en masse.

@GeoRebekah Yesterday, my dog got out of the yard. Last time that happened, I chased her for hours (in hard-soled shoes). But yesterday, I was able to entice her back with an umbrella of all things. She was too curious to run away.

These would all be agnostic of your assumptions about anyone, but could help you understand.

@hi_its_annaleah Take out the trauma discussion (only for a second) and I agree with the sentiment. It's accountable and actualizing.

However, part of the definition of trauma implies that, in a person's head, it keeps happening. A body is rewired to respond to anything resembling the trauma.

@the_dadchef Yes. Salad is all about variety...tomatoes, mangoes, avocados, berries, apples...find the right flavors and get your good on! I don't like salads with cucumber; I don't say they don't belong - I just don't like them.

I love wearing a tie to work occasionally and I look for any opportunity to "suit up". Some days, shorts and sandals would work just as well, but "that's not appropriate". Somehow, skirt and sandals are okay for the ladies. It's not just sexist; it's a bit creepy IMO.

1) dress code should include both women and men. 2) jacket and tie represents a small percentage of the country. I dare say a hoodie and "ready to work" says, "I'm with my constituents". The jacket and tie just says, I'm better than you...and I know it"
