Trump lost fair and square in 2020. Only women can get pregnant. The Trump assassination attempts were real. Mitch McConnell is alive. Michelle Obama is not a man. Barack Obama is a citizen. America is less racist than most countries. Police stop crime. Tariffs hurt the economy.
So the police state decides they can strip Americans of their 2nd Amendment rights—and kill Americans for carrying a gun—if they “delay, obstruct, and impede” federal agents?
Doesn’t work that way in America.
Not even close.
I do not care your political persuasion… if you are an American you will call for de escalation and pulling back of ICE to get this settled down. The agents and infrastructure needs to be held accountable as this is NOT who the fuck we are.
To be clear about what this depicts: An immigration officer threw a woman onto the ground. Alex Pretti, a registered nurse on scene as a legal observer, is filming and goes to help the woman up. He is then pepper sprayed and thrown to the ground for no discernible reason. Many officer surround and assault him; one removes his firearm, which police say appears to have been legally registered. They then execute him with a hail of bullets.
They are, objectively speaking, both cowards and criminals, while Pretti is what we teach people an American ought to be.
This shit needs to stop and it’s on the government to stop. It is BS political reasons to escalate and this is NOT law enforcement. Same as the car death, this is not a threat to use deadly force. The burden always lies with law enforcement.
ICE wrestled Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and ICU nurse, to the ground. ICE immobilized him. Alex posed no threat, and they executed him. Look at the video.
And our government, from the White House on down, is lying to you about what happened. Because they think you're too lazy or too stupid to see the video for yourself. Or too blinded by party to care.
Don't look away. This is evil. And it cannot stand.
Sheriff Chris Swanson, the elected Sheriff of Genesee County, Michigan, is a career law-enforcement officer, not a pundit. He became nationally known in 2020 for prioritizing de-escalation during protests. What he says about the Minneapolis shooting directly exposes how bad MAGA-era policing policies fail.
Swanson calls the shooting tragic but predictable. Masked federal agents in unmarked vehicles confronted a 37-year-old woman, gave unclear commands, and then fired three shots as her car was backing up and turning away. The agent who fired was not hit, not run over, and not in the vehicle’s path. Two shots were fired as the car was already driving away.
That is not lawful deadly force. That is bad policy producing bad outcomes.
Swanson is blunt about the force continuum. You do not shoot people who are fleeing. You do not shoot when you are not in danger. “Tough on crime” slogans do not override use-of-force standards, no matter how loudly MAGA politicians repeat them.
What follows is worse. After the woman was shot and crashed, Swanson saw no attempt at life-saving aid. No urgency. No trauma response. He contrasts this with his own deputies, who once returned fire on a suspect who had already killed two people, then immediately tried to save his life anyway. That is professional policing. What happened in Minneapolis was not.
He also points to missing body cams and officers leaving the scene instead of securing it for investigation. These are not accidents. They are the results of policies that reward aggression and optics over training and accountability.
Swanson makes one thing clear. Calling this out is not anti-police. Blind loyalty is what damages law enforcement. Accountability is what protects it.
@JaquanBrisker Love you and all you have done for the University and the Bears, but here is why it makes sense. Someone cannot preach accountability and not accept it for themselves.
