🏫 Contributions to PRESEC / Ɔdadeɛ
600-bed ultra-modern dormitory: Donated the facility now known as Ofori Sarpong House, commissioned in 2026. It was intended to reduce accommodation pressure and improve students’ living conditions.
Modern astroturf: Constructed a football facility at PRESEC featuring a pitch, fencing, changing rooms, stands and floodlights.
Boardroom renovation: Contributed to the renovation of PRESEC’s boardroom.
NSMQ room renovation: Supported renovation of the school’s National Science & Maths Quiz room.
Cold-room facility: Donated a 40-foot container converted for use as a cold room.
Student facilities: Contributed to improvements to student facilities, including House common room.
Alumni leadership: Became Global President of the PRESEC Old Boys Association (Ɔdadeɛ) and has served as Chairman of the PRESEC Governing Council.
🎓 Contributions to higher education
University of Ghana: Donated 20 brand-new laptops to the University’s “One Student, One Laptop” initiative to support students who needed digital learning tools.
Medical education: Donated GH¢100,000 to the University of Ghana College of Health Sciences’ Bright and Needy Students Fund, supporting academically gifted students facing financial difficulties.
Institutional leadership: Serves as Chairman of the Advisory Board of the University of Ghana’s College of Health Sciences.
UniMAC: Appointed the first Chancellor of the University of Media, Arts and Communication (UniMAC) in 2026.
💼 Business & economic contribution
Founded and leads the Special Group of Companies, with interests spanning manufacturing, real estate, construction, finance and strategic investments.
Has interests in Special Ice, Special Investments, U2 Salt, United Television (UTV), and Best Point Savings & Loans, among other ventures.
His businesses have reportedly created more than 3,000 jobs.
Has more than 30 years of entrepreneurial experience.
🎓 His own academic/professional credentials
Holds an MSc in Finance and Investment Management from the University of Salford, UK.
Is a Chartered Accountant.
Is pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at ESG, France.
Has received an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy in Law.
🇬🇭 National & humanitarian contribution
Served on Ghana’s National COVID-19 Trust Fund, contributing to the national response during the pandemic.
Has been involved in boards and institutions focused on education, business, youth development and social impact.
Received the Global Dignity Award for Service to Humanity at the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
Received the Millennium Excellence Award for Business Entrepreneur of the Year (2025).
Named CEO of the Year – Consumer Drinks at the 2025 Ghana CEO Summit.

It may not be the ending we hoped for, but our boys gave it everything, fought with courage, and represented the School with pride.
