@randallmbriggs @DanielleFong Enterprise grade electronics. EU-based. They colocate R&D (software, electronics, ME) in the same building too. 1M units at about $500 per unit. Super impressive all around.

@sollygarber @helloseam The co-out would have been to do something simple like just counting devices once a month and send an invoice. But we wanted to do something that was super fair to customers. AWS EC2 hourly billing felt more like it. The surprise was that Stripe wasn't really meant for that.
