NOW: Huge turnout from state workers at the California State Capitol as they line up to support AB 1729, a bill by Assemblymember @alex_lee (D-San Jose) that would require state agencies to publicly justify return-to-office mandates. If the bill is approved and signed into law, state agencies will need to provide a written justification for the need to return to office.
Many attendees are also pushing back on Gov. @GavinNewsom’s order requiring most state employees to work in-office four days a week starting July 1. They argue telework has proven effective and productive.
On the other side, Newsom argues the return to office mandate will improve productivity.
@EricSperlazza13 In my opinion, Sac has to get the best available player, no matter what the fit is. I get it, the Kings have too many off guards already on the roster. I just think Burries is one of the better two-way talents in the draft and should be considered outside the top 4.
@whiteygleason Like @bretthuff22 mentioned, without that run of success, I don't think people would have rallied to keep them. That's the legacy of that era, that team, and Adelman–the NBA still exists in Sac.

This sea lion could give Chonkers a run for his money. A US tourist visiting Chile said she was “stunned” to witness a massive sea lion making itself at home in a dumpster at a fish market.
May 11, 2003: Sacramento's Bobby Jackson "lands on 'The Czar!'"
Jackson goes flying into the arms of TNT's Mike Fratello ("The Czar of the Telestrator"), then gets up to score an and-1 bucket. Jackson scored 13 PTS and the Kings beat the Mavericks, 99-83, in Game 4 of the WCSF.
March 26, 1999: Chris Webber’s “semi-hook tap” putback with 0:00.4 remaining wins it for Sacramento.
Webber finished with 29 PTS (14-22 FG)/10 REB to lead the Kings in a 111-109 victory over the Lakers. Kobe Bryant scored 26 PTS and Shaquille O’Neal added 24 PTS for Los Angeles.
@adamhousley Hi Adam, what convinced the city council to reject the project? Just asking because my community has a proposed affordable housing complex next to an elementary school. Figuring out ways to combat that.
