All the signals are flashing red, the latest being @POTUS's summary dismissal of the remaining Federal Election Assistance Commission members.
Put that together with political hack Pulte's odious appt as DNI; election deniers in the most sensitive oversight positions; Trump's exec order on mail-in voting, and potential use of the Postal Service as a weapon of subversion; his pathological prioritization of the SAVE act, which would be the most powerful voter suppression tool in generations; and his persistent, unfounded claims of election fraud, which he uses to justify extraordinary federal interventions.
On the square, the @GOP would take a beating this fall, largely because of Trump's unpopularity.
So he's setting up Plan B--do whatever you need to do to win. Anything.
Anyone who says "Well, he wouldn't do THAT" hasn't paid attention. He's already proven he will!
So the period AFTER the Midterms may be even more turbulent than the run up to them.
The courts are going to be very busy this fall.

Jasmine Crockett lost the primary because she did not build a broad coalition of support beyond Black voters in East Texas.

It wasn’t because of racism, James Talarico, or the mean anon accounts.
Crockett did not hire a campaign manager to advise against her running a negative campaign against her primary opponent.

Also, she relied heavily on a gaggle of social media influencers, who went on to build a cult around Crockett after the primary. They have nothing to do with Black Texans, and everything to do with their grievances about Crockett not being on the ballot in November. Sad shit.

Read the timeline again slowly. A man who spent a decade risking his life alongside American Special Forces gets picked up by ICE while dropping his kids at school. He complains of chest pain that evening. By morning his tongue is swollen. Within an hour of that, he is dead.

Out of more than fifty deaths in ICE custody under this administration, his is the first ruled an accident. The death certificate has a date on it that predates his own arrest. The county will not release the autopsy that might explain that discrepancy, because ICE asked them not to. That is not how an accident gets investigated. That is how one gets managed.

Hundreds of Houstonians protesting the killing of Lorenzo Salgado by ICE

ICE killed a father of three yesterday and no one is talking about it.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo spent 35 years in Houston building homes and raising a family.

According to people interviewed, every night after work you'd find him on his porch, listening to music, petting his dog. He helped his three kids (U.S. Citizens) get through college.

It certainly seems that he was doing everything right, and then a federal agent shot him dead during a stop and his own son found out from a Facebook video, recognizing his father's voice as he lay bleeding in the street.

His son says that if his father had recognized any sign of law enforcement, he would have complied without question.

DHS says he "tried to run him over." This is the exact same lie they used to justify murdering Renee Good, a mother of three.

We are being asked to trust a rogue, lawless agency's word over a dead man's family, again, with no body cam release and no independent investigation.

Everyone should be outraged.

ICE claimed that Lorenzo Salgado Araujo drove his van into one of their SUVs and later attempted to run an ICE agent over. The first thing our local media pointed out was the lack of damage on Araujo’s van. One of the best investigative journalists in Houston, Jeremy Rogalski, found surveillance camera footage showing ICE ramming the van minutes before shots were fired.

The ICE story is already falling apart.

ICE agents shot and killed an unarmed civilian in Houston, Texas. The victim was a construction worker, a father of three US citizens, had lived in the US for 35 years and was applying for a work permit. He panicked and tried to flee when he mistook masked, armed ICE agents for thieves.
