@ZaanTalksFooty In Dom and Wirtz you have two midfielders who are consistently offering very little control on the ball. Both are great off the ball. It’s one or the other for me. I truly believe that both would be better with out the other.

@donhutch4 Maybe. The PL is not for everyone. You can be world class without being able to play in the PL which requires another level of physicality. Or he could be one of those that came too young to the PL and it’s not his time yet. Hopefully he proves everyone wrong,

@mdeeks76 Club need to ensure he retires at the club. His leadership on and off the pitch is something money can not buy. There is not another player in that squad that can take over Virg’s leadership. He is the standard bearer.

@JoshCF_ Absolutely still need a RW, Gakpo has been phenomenal and I suspect they may also cash in on him as well. Depending on how Ekitike comes back. Don’t like it but that’s what I think will happen, his stick will be really high come this summer if he continues as he is

@donjoeugo Gomez is back and Leoni is not far behind , so options will be there very soon. But you’re right the three of them have been brilliant. Araujo gives so much physicality and defensive solidity that teams have stopped targeting that right hand side. Set pieces also seem contained

@JasonLFC1979 Going to be really interesting to see what Iraola does after the international break. With that schedule there is no doubt Wirtz will not be be playing every game and not just the league cup. That’s when we could see the midfield of Mac, Nyoni and Dom,

@SamueILFC Would not have happened if Gomez did not get injured in that first pre season game within 7 minutes. A silver lining if I ever saw one.
