So much good learning at the education day today! Glad to be back in prehospital care after an 8 month break - even better to learn from these wonderful clinicians at @SydneyHEMS.
Our Toll Ambulance Rescue crews were recently out on the Sydney Harbour winch training with NSW Police Force - Marine Area Command.
Water-winch training focuses on retrieving patients from out of the water or off a moving vessel.
Yesterday was year 6 of Santa flying to Bear Cottage on a Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter. Gifts were donated to our friends at the children's hospice. A day that we're grateful to be part of.
Every Christmas we visit our friends at Bear Cottage in Manly, a very special place dedicated to caring for kids with life-limiting conditions. We will fly in bearing gifts to spread a little extra joy to these kids and their families.
Please donate if you can 💝
Two bushwalkers were stuck down a rocky chasm, teams from multiple @SES NSW units and emergency service agencies attended to assist. NSW Ambulance Special Operations Team hiked 6 hours to the hikers, and Toll Ambulance Rescue helicopter winch-extracted the patients to safety.
Got to love a multidisciplinary simulation to round out the year…..multi-casualty incident after a car doing donuts went into a tractor. Ambulance, Retrieval, Fire, multiple hospital teams, med students and high school students all learning together #simulation
