I think about this a lot. so much of this film is about the intrinsic, fundamental reality of being black. either you know it or you don't. and if you can't access empathy, the movie is functionally gibberish to you. the motives make no sense if you don't get the dynamics in play
Coco Gauff was asked about Aryna Sabalenka saying Iga Swiatek would’ve beaten her in the Roland Garros final:
“I don’t agree with that. I mean, I’m sitting here. 😂 No shade to Iga or anything, but I played her and I won in straight sets. I don’t think that’s a fair thing to say. Anything can really happen. Honestly, the way Aryna was playing the last few weeks, she was the favorite to win. I think she was the best person I could’ve played in the final. Her being #1 in the world, she was the best person to play. I think I got the hardest matchup just if you go off stats alone. Obviously Iga being a champion here, it was gonna be a tough match either way. But yeah, regardless of who I played, I think I had a good shot to win and I definitely had that belief. If you ask me honestly who I wanted to play, it was Iga. Just because I felt Aryna was playing so good. Obviously Iga is a tough opponent too. Honestly neither of them would’ve been the better shot 😂. But it played out how it played out and that’s why I’m here today.”

Backhand down the line winner off of an overhead 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Ridiculous.
I don’t really care about the beef. But there’s only one group of people who think this was boring lmaooo
I don’t think a creative person alive thinks this wasn’t strategically planned and executed.
having samuel as uncle sam calling calling kendrick’s performance “too ghetto” and then it cutting to his all black backup dancers dressed in the colours of the american flag? serena crip walking? during black history month? too poetic. kendrick proving why he won a pultizer 😭
Sitting at the Super Bowl watching players that I represent play, makes me so emotional. I’ll never forget where I started and will never take these moments for granted. They will never feel normal. Thank you, Jesus for your favor and unwavering grace that I do not deserve.🥹
Second time’s the charm. Congrats to the @Eagles, Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, Nick Sirianni and an outstanding defense for winning one for Philly. You earned it!
