@berman_devin I agree, I believe when the writer seems to be passionate and knowledgeable about they are writing, people tend to trust what they say a little more and the paper is more influential/persuasive.

strong sentence: The writer begins the introduction by telling a story, or a personal experience to intrigue the reader and prepare them for the upcoming arguments and discussions. #Flamm101

Vietare begins his paper with a story or a personal experience relating to the topic to engage the reader in what will be discussed later. I need to place a personal story or something similar in my introduction to engage the audience. #Flamm101

Thesis: Empathy and streaming within music can lead to cultural understanding.

Counterargument: Streaming music does not increase cultural understanding because many people use these platforms, but some still lack this experience.

I found our first year book, "Demagoguery and Democracy," very interesting and engaging. I initially thought it would be boring and difficult to understand, but it was the opposite. It provided examples and explained in a way that I could connect to politics now.

Environmentalists would be the most receptive audience for Klein and conservatives would be the least receptive. Conservatives and those who don't believe in climate change would be the most receptive for Carlin and environmentalists would be least receptive. #Flamm101

Klein uses logos when referencing silent spring and the effects of the BP oil spill. Carlin uses logos when speaking about how the earth has been around for thousands of years before we got here and has been through a lot and we will be the ones that will be gone. #Flamm101
